So, my husband's solution is to cut his whole fruits into pieces and place them into a tall container in the morning. And, throughout the day, he just eats them as a healthy bite size snack.
He believes that doing it this way, he is less mindful about keeping up with his fruit consumption. And, so far, I have seen him do this every day for years.

He, also, mentioned that if you slice the fruit first and then, core the fruit, you would waste less fruit than if you started biting right into the whole fruit.
And, for me, it's easy to steal (I mean share) pieces of his fruit from time to time! :)
So, it might be fun just to pick up some fresh fruit and make your own fruit cup.
